That was the heyday of that area and Dubrow's was a focal point of the community. I wonder where you would find photos of that event.
MarciaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10507655.post-1135778490163476272005-12-28T09:01:00.000-05:002005-12-28T09:01:00.000-05:00Thanks for coming over, and thanks for the link! ...Thanks for coming over, and thanks for the link!

It seems like Dubrow's was a part of a different era of NYC - it lasted awhile (30 years!) but ultimately seems to have fallen victim to the demise of the garment industry and the gentrification of the real estate.Evehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08695149244974199579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10507655.post-1135751152402659012005-12-28T01:25:00.000-05:002005-12-28T01:25:00.000-05:00Eve: Keep the memory alive. Also one on Eastern Parkway, as I recall from my early youth. For whatever reasons, cafeterias just didn't survive in the NY area. Probably because of fast food chains. I was surprised to see cafeterias flourish in Texas in the early '80s, although, they're not as common as they once were. Must have something do do with a demand for having decent food at a reasonable price.Jerry550https://www.blogger.com/profile/10917548618571677259noreply@blogger.com
