But I'm still here. Waiting for some more stories and memories. My cousing Joanne Gruber, who wrote many articles about Dubrow's, including one I reprinted here, should be contacting me soon with some good stuff.
In the mean time, check out this blog I recently found. It's a collection of Brooklyn stories. There's at least one reference to Dubrow's in it, and I posted a comment inviting the members to visit me and share more memories of Dubrow's.

I happened into the Senior citizen center near the Kings Highway Dubrow's the other day and the idea struck me that many of these people had spent time at Dubrow's. I spoke to the leader of their poetry/prose group and they have an assignment to write about their recollections of Dubrow's. Will follow up in a week or so.

Do you mean the Senior Citizen center that's at E. 10th St. and Quentin Rd.? Just curious.
Marcia, what a wonderful idea. I can't wait to read what they write.
My mother remembers eating "Steamship roast beef" at Dubrow's on Sunday afternoons. She also remembers a cashier named Minnie Jacobson from either the Kings Highway or more likely the Eastern Parkway cafeteria.
She remembers her as a heavy set woman. My mother spoke at her funeral.
